Thank God for weekends like this. Otherwise, why are we living? G.B.

Great teachers; wonderful people! Anon.

I enjoyed the weekend  because it was such a welcoming atmosphere. That was awesome. M.S.

I was so impressed with all of the women. I have never been around women who were so interesting and had such interesting things to talk about. Great women!!! J.A.

I came with an open mind and left with an open heart, which was totally unexpected.  I was totally blown away by all the kindness and sociability with everyone.  S.N.

You did a great job of creating a safe shared space...that's more important to me than specific classes. The atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement of all is rare and precious.  J.C.

Having only women was wonderful. It made the atmosphere safer and much less pressured.  D.C.

Classes:

Your camp offered the most excellent, competent and inspiring instruction I ever have encountered. E.K.

As a beginner, I loved the variety of classes offered. The instructors were supportive, patient and encouraging. C.D.

I think you are a fantastic teacher. Your methodical and slow approach is GREAT for a person who is trying to learn. I am so impressed with you. If I lived closer, I would take weekly lessons. J.A.

The Up-The-Neck class helped me understand things that previously seemed complex.  R.Z.

I loved playing in the Camp Ensemble. In the Ensemble meetings, I learned about working with other musicians, and I loved the music we made together. M.C.

The Brazilian Guitar class taught beautiful chord progressions and exercises. I walked away being able to do it! A.H.

The Rhythmn & Grooves class provided an excellent tool box and great modeling of possibilities!  C.D.

The Beginning Right Hand Technique class was fantastic. The teacher always found the right nugget for a very diverse group. Now, I have several options for expressing the rhythm of my songs.  A.B.

I loved the format of the Songwriting class. Playing and commenting...very illuminating even though, at the time, I did not have a song to share. It was very good for me to hear such wonderful songwriters.  A.B.

The Chord Theory class was great. I received answers to questions I've always wondered about -- like, "What's a diminished chord?" "What is a Major 7th chord?" and "What are suspended chords?"  D.C.

Awesome handouts in the Lead/Improv class. L.P.

The Celtic Band class was some of the best fun I've ever had.  M.A.

I got to play lead for the first time ever!  M.C.

I am blown away by the possibilties of playing in altered tunings! So beautifuul!  M.C.

Long ago, I learned a Travis pick by memorizing what someone showed me. But I had never really understood what I was doing nor related it to the alternating bass. The Beginning Fingerpicking class put fingerpicking into context and allowed me to vary the picking pattern and use it in new ways.  R.S.

Performances:

The performances were wonderful! It was so powerful to see people step up who were at all different stages of their relastionship to guitar. C.D.

I thought it was great when the classes  performed their work, very inclusive, unintimidating, lovely common effort.  M.A.

I really enjoyed the performances A LOT. It was such a privilege to hear what people take risks to share.  C.D.

The collective and supportive atmosphere allowed  my relationship to the guitar to flourish!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  C.D.

General Comments:

Thank you for your patience and encouragement and generous spirits! (Not to mention, you are incredibly talented and inspiring musicians!)  M.C.

I thought the camp was organized fantastically well, even down to the orientation kit you distributed at the beginning. J.A.

All women - what a concept!  The camp was extemely encouraging and supportive, non-intimidating...it works and thinks the way women do! W.P.

I really enjoyed seeing women passionate about the guitar and working on complex guitar materials. Anon.

It was a great stretch for me but it was just what I wanted.
I walk away with a brain full to go and practice with ... I'm overwhelmed and full, but thrilled with where I can go from here!  L.M.

I grew in skill and confidence in unexpected ways!  V.C.

The food was spectacular!! And lots of it, and served with grace and love by women who also play guitar. Who could ask for more?  R.Z.
